Welcome to the Early College at Dudley!

In the Early College Academy, we offer a fast paced and rigorous curriculum for students on three pathways: Education, Engineering and Health Sciences. Our students complete their high school graduation requirements in three years and attend college classes during their senior year based on the track selected during their 9^th grade application process.

Education and Health Science students are dually enrolled at Guilford Technical Community College for their senior year and Engineering students are dually enrolled North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University for

Criteria for application

Due to the rigor and pace of the curriculum at the Early College Academies at Dudley High School, it is required that applicants meet the following criteria for consideration: 

-Successfully completed or currently enrolled with a passing grade in Math 1 or equivalent course. 

-Have a grade of an A or B in each subject area in the 7th grade.

-Attain at least 70th percentile on the 7th grade Reading EOG or equivalent.

-Attain at least 70th percentile on the 7th grade Math EOG, Math 1 EOC or equivalent. 

Students are NOT considered for the Early College Academy after they have already started high school. Applications are for incoming freshmen ONLY.

 

Students must pick a track during the application period. There is no option to change tracks after the application window has closed.
